Why?
I think I would pack my favorite picture book because I like reading. And I will also pack a snow globe my mom and dad gifted me on my birthday. It is very pretty and entertaining to see the snowflakes float and settle down again. (But it probably won't happen, since it's top fragile.)
Why is play important to children?
Because it fosters a child's creativity, develop and exercises the brain. Improves mood, engage them in interactions.
Why might play be important to a child experiencing trauma?
Because it may be soothing and keep their minds off the terrible situation or bad memories. It can also make them happier.
