When war strikes or any disaster occurs, children are the most vulnerable. Unable to protect themselves, they suffer immensely and whole childhoods can be ruined by trauma.
As they seek safety, many children sustain hope with their best loved toy. When everything seems disrupting and uncertain, a small toy can be a friendly and reliable companion, something that allows kids to project their hopes for the future and remember that peace exists.
The aim for this project is to design a toy for the refugee children.
The toy will help the children regain a sense of normalcy, joy, and delight.
Design Constraints and Requirements
To make sure the toy works well for children in tough situations, here are some things that need to be considered.
Materials: The toy should be made from safe and strong materials that won't break easily. It should also be soft and comfortable.
Size: It needs to be small enough for a child to carry around.
Safety: No small parts that could be swallowed or sharp edges.
Culture: The toy should be friendly and suitable for children from different backgrounds.
Purpose: It should help the child feel happier, calmer, and less alone.
Durability: The toy should last a long time, even if it's used a lot.
