Welcome to the IDU Design and PHE Unit!
In this unit, you will take on the role of inclusive game designers, working to create a game that combines basketball and football skills while promoting balanced participation and cooperative achievement. Your challenge is to design a game that is adaptable, inclusive, and engaging for diverse student groups.
Your final product will include:
- Adaptable rules for different skill levels
- Modified equipment specifications
- A skill progression guide
- Inclusion strategies
Throughout this process, you’ll follow the Design Cycle: Inquiry & Analysis, Developing Ideas, Creating Solutions, and Evaluating. You’ll also strengthen your interdisciplinary understanding by analysing, synthesising, and reflecting on your learning.
